During the first session you can expect a full history to be taken covering details such as:
- History of injury, vet investigations or any performance issues
- Your horse/dog's background and type of work/exercise they do
- Any previous known injuries or illnesses
- Your expectations and goals 

This will be followed by a gait assessment which may include lunging or ridden if appropriate. I will then conduct a full assessment of your horse/dog which includes range of movement tests, clinical assessments of the joints, palpatory assessment of the muscles and functional testing. 

I will then discuss the assessment findings and the proposed treatment options and plan before conducting any appropriate treatment options. 

Treatments may include:
- Soft tissue techniques
- Joint mobilisations
- Electrotherapy
- Strengthening/Activation exercises
- Heat or Cryotherapy
- Advice and education

At the end of the session will will discuss any ongoing treatment requirements, follow on referrals and any home exercises.
